Our roots
Our beginning is not like any other. Established in 2004 by ARIA award-winning, multi-platinum-selling sister duo Sharon and Christine Muscat, our founding directors took their love for singing and opened the Sister2Sister School of Singing.
The sisters believe singing, music and the arts are some of the greatest gifts you can give a child. They wanted to create their own community to encourage others to be creative and flourish while developing their musical abilities. And so this led to the establishment of the Sister2Sister School of Singing.
Inspired by their singing journey, our directors encourage others to create their own fond memories revolving around the joy that singing and dancing provide.
Sharon and Christine are formidable vocal educators specialising in singing with over 20 years of experience. They are both certificated Level II Instructors with the Institute for Vocal Advancement and Seth Riggs’ Speech Level Singing Technique and have completed Levels 1 & 2 of the Estill Voice Method and Estill Advanced Workshop. Both have continued their professional development as teachers and performers.
Among our directors, the Sister2Sister School of Singing has built an impressive faculty of vibrant and diverse instructors. Each instructor has been hand-picked for their training, qualifications, teaching credentials and professional industry experience to provide our students with valuable and unique tuition.
The services we offer
One of the biggest reasons we differ from other schools is our extensive range of services. We understand that every performer is not the same; therefore, they have different needs. That is why we offer various bespoke services catering to all ages and abilities.
A speciality of ours is our singing services. As singers ourselves, we make it a priority to nurture our students and help them be the best performer they can be. Whether they require one-on-one sessions, semi-private classes or a group ensemble setting, we will guide all students in the right direction to help them get the most out of their singing tuition. We offer these in both a face-to-face and online classroom for remote students.
In addition to this, our expertise goes beyond just singing. A key to being an all-round performer is enhancing all musical abilities. Expanding across all forms of expression and creativity, we provide dance, drama, musical theatre and musical instrument lessons.
We even have dedicated music lessons for kids with our Little Sister Little Mister program aimed at preschool-aged children.
We also offer a range of services exclusive to the Sister2Sister School of Singing. This includes our highly specialised Artist Development service for professional artists. This involves getting one-on-one time with industry professionals for Artist Development Coaching and Songwriting and Music Production. Then, of course, you have our on-site recording studio, which allows a grand scale of opportunities.
Another stand-out service we offer is our S2S Squad. Our squad is an elite performance troupe providing the foundation for talented and skilled students looking to further their music careers. Members are involved in recording music videos and work closely with industry professionals and performance coaches.
We also offer various workshops throughout the year, including our Superstars school holiday program.
Our performance opportunities
Stemming from our founding sisters’ established careers and industry contacts, our S2S Squad have been given once-in-a-lifetime experiences. This includes many performance opportunities that other schools could only dream of!
Bursting with talent, the S2S Squad has been groomed and trained to professional standards, with members having performed with various recording artists, including Delta Goodrem, the Jackson Five and Guy Sebastian. Furthermore, they have also been broadcasted several times at both a national and international level.
Performances our S2S Squad have been featured in include:
- Fire Fight concert performance at ANZ Stadium televised worldwide as a choir for Delta Goodrem.
- Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It’ DVD launch performed with Guy Sebastian and the remaining members of the Jackson Five.
- Live vocal choir for Delta Goodrem on her 10-Year ‘Innocent Eyes’ video series.
- 9’s The Voice as backing choir to 2019 Team Delta Finalist, Jordan Anthony.
- Live television performance with school directors on Sunrise on 7 and the Morning Show.
- Half-time entertainment for Parramatta Eels at Parramatta Stadium.
- Supporting Sony recording artist, Mitch Tambo at the NSW Business Awards to an audience of over 1200.
Our school performances and showcases
Unlike other singing and dancing schools, the Sister2Sister School of Singing takes a different approach to performances and showcases. Rather than competing with all students at eisteddfods, we host our own Open Mic. Days at the end of each term and end-of-year extravaganza SHOWCASE.
We encourage all our students to perform at our exclusive bespoke music event. Established to generate a fun and inclusive atmosphere, the events are much more welcoming than performing against external students.
In saying that, we also offer selected students and group singers to represent the school in eisteddfods, talent quests and numerous community events. This way, we provide students with various performance opportunities to help them develop and thrive.
